Everett Kohl is a recent graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he studied Computer Science and Geography. He started coding chatbots on IBM Watson in 2018 during a summer internship, starting with a chatbot that answered questions using natural language and artificial intelligence about digital currencies and Blockchain technology, which became his first client chatbot. While at university, he created a chatbot for climate change which answered questions about climate issues, merging his two study areas together. He now leads Chatbo, creating chatbots for specific industry uses, including “PlaySafe.Chat” for responsible play, focusing on casinos, esports and online gaming. Together with his team, he also particulates in a chatbot project for innovation and technology in Canada with 80 engineering and computer science students at the University of Toronto, which has participants from leading global institutions including the United Nations, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Children’s Aid Foundation and the Government of Canada.
